Rob for Model Number pfss5rkzhss / wr30x10150 I have an IceMaker model WR30X10150. Ice maker virtually stopped working, producing 1 tray every week. After reading your helpful replies I decided to try to tackle this myself. I thoroughly cleaned the condenser coils with a vacuum/blowgun. I removed the rear freezer compartment cover and confirmed the circulation fan is working. Cold air can be felt blowing from the lower opening in the side wall of the refrigerator. Notably, it blows into the bottom section of the ice compartment (diagram shows it is supposed to blow in the upper?). Not sure if this is a problem as it would make sense to blow the coldest air at the top where the water is. The refrigerator is set at 33°F, Freezer set at -6°F. Ice maker now produces ice, but very slowly and ice is very clear and hard with no air in it and is also hard for the crusher to grind up as most cubes are attached to each other. I have often put my hand into the tray and the water is usually not fully frozen leading me to think it is either not cold enough or there is a defrost timer stuck in the on position. I took the Ice Maker unit out and apart as much as I could, but there are really no serviceable parts that I could see and nothing was broken or damaged.
Answer Hello Rob, You will need to verify the ice fan WR60X10330 is running. This is the one on the left-hand side in the freezer compartment. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, March 31, 2018
