Bill D for Model Number GE PDW7880J01SS The times for the various cycles change from time to time. For example, the normal wash cycle varies from 55 minutes to 62. I also notice that the time remaining while it's running will change occasionally to values that are much less (i.e., a 10-15 minute reduction) than they were the minute prior. The cycles do not seem to complete as they should as there's often liquid detergent still left in the reservoir or running down the inside of the door. Is this the result of a faulty control module? Thanks for your help.
Answer Bill, As far as the unit changing the time, there is a turbidity sensor on the unit that will sense the dirtiness of the water and will compensate time by adding or reducing the time of the wash cycle based on the water dirtiness. For the detergent not dissolving you will want to check the water temp in the unit. If the water temp is not hot enough it will not dissolve the detergent. Read More...
