Donna for Model Number GE ZE 2160 SF took out all screws on bottom to replace turntable motor - we think we took out screws we should not have - and now are hearing something moving around - "capacitor"??? - how do we take off bottom cover completely to reconnect that - tried to - but bottom plate didn't budge at all. Any assistance would help
Answer Donna, For this issue you will want to turn the unit upside down and remove the screws from the base. This would be how to access the turntable and there should be no issue with the capacitor coming loose if the screws on the inside are not removed. Read More... Answer Donna, Under the circumstances, you'll most likely need to remove power to the microwave, then remove it from the cabinet. Then " REPLACEMENT OF TURN TABLE MOTOR 1. Disconnect power and remove glass tray from cavity. 2. Turn oven upside down and cut the motor cover tabs. CAUTION: Remove sharp edges after removing the motor cover. 3. Disconnect wires from motor and remove 1 screw securing motor to oven cavity. 4. Mount motor in reverse order. 5. Mount motor cover with screw supplied."
