Bethany for Model Number GSH22JSXMSS I installed a new MWF water filter and when I did so, black water sprayed everywhere. I did install it correctly. When I ran the water through the water was black. I ran the water until it cleared up. Is the water safe to drink now or should I still get a new filter?
Answer Hello Bethany! Yes it should be safe to drink the water. When you first change the water filter, you need to run at least 1 gallon of water through the new filter to get rid of the sediment and air introduced to the system. Thanks! Read More...
