Richard for Model Number GE Artica Profile I replaced my GE Smartwater filter and now when getting water from the dispenser, water dribbles out after the dispenser lever clicks off and the cup is removed from the dispenser. Water flow is good. I then took out the new filter and put in the original filter and the water dribbling is the same. Before the change, the water would cease immediately after the dispenser lever clicked off. This happened immediately after replacing the filter. I flowed 1-2 gallons through each filter after changing. What did I do to mess this up?
Answer Richard, With the dispenser having a dripping to it, it sounds like there may still be air in the lines. Try to run several gallons of water more through it and then if it continues to drip then you will want to replace the water valve as it is not closing all the way. Read More...
