Chris W. I just replaced the MWF water filter. Flow from the water dispenser was fine before the replacement. Now, a spurt of water will come out and then flow decreases dramatically and at times nothing comes out. When I looked at the water in the glass from the dispenser, there was odd looking debris in it. Thoughts of what the problem may be? Thanks
Answer Hello Chris, The filter could be defective or, if you have not run about 2 gallons of water through it as recommended by the manufacturer, it could be charcoal and air in the filter that has yet to be purged. Another consideration for the weak flow could be a failure of the valve in the filter head that the filter attaches to in the fresh food compartment. Read More...
