Andrew for Model Number GSH25JFXB BB Tried several filters, Great Value, GE Official MWF, no NEW filters worked, the old filter allowed water to run but it was slow. Made some washers out of a thin cracker box and placed them inside the new filter and BAM NEW GE MWF Filter started working, when looking at the internal part of each filter the old GE "Smartwater" MWF Filter is "slightly" different than the GE MWF Filter. The change in tolerances is enough to make it a problem. Perhaps I should replace the Mwf Water Filter Manifold Assembly but I am worried that it will still be a problem. perhaps if I had a picture of the "trigger" mechanism on that assembly, aka the switch that allows the water to flow again when a filter is installed I could compare that to my switch and see if that is the problem!
