Becky for Model Number GE ESS25LSPSBS Hello....I recently went to change my the refrigerator filter (was using HDX FMG-1 brand) and water would only trickle out after it was replaced...even after taking it out and trying it over. I also tried another new filter (same brand) followed by the recommended GE brand of filter with the same result. I put the old filter back in and it worked fine. Has the type of filter changed? The top looks slightly different than the one I was using that still works. Do I need to buy some sort of water filter adapter replacement so I can use these newer filters? My refrigerator is an older model, and I can't seem to find the exact filter that is still working. Also...there is a white residue that leaks down from the water dispenser when you use it....is that related to the problem somehow? The ice dispenser has worked the whole time. I'm confused. Thanks!
Answer Becky, The manufacturer of that filter may have made a design change to it but the manufacturer recommends filter MWFP and it would be recommended to try that filter and see if it works.
