Dj Smartwater purification system that sits under kitchen sink. It has three filters and a tank. System has been working fine for 2 - 3 years. It has developed a problem. It only produces 10 to 12 cups of water over a 12 hour period. I have changed all three filters. Does the tank fail and create problems like this? Or am I missing something? Thanks, djl.
Answer DJ, Based on your description, you forgot to supply a model number, you have a Reverse Osmosis Filtration System. This sytem is a little "touchy" to water water pressure and conditions. Since you've replaced the filters, check the water flow/pressure to the tank from the filter assembly and check the water flow out the tank. You could have a clogged or defective membrane in the tank, and will need to replace it if all checks OK. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 9, 2011
