Andrea for Model Number GSS23QGTAWW I do not use either water or ice maker on our refrigerator. Do I still have to replace the filter and dual water inlet valve (due to water leaking and now shut off the water line)?
Answer Andrea, Other than turning off the water supply, to stop the leak, and turning off the ice maker(lever on the bottom of the side of the control head) to insure it doesn't accidentally energize and starts to operate, you wouldn't need to do anything else, and the refrigerator should work normally. You can also remove the filter, but do not install the "bypass plug", this will eliminate the water supply to the water dispenser and tank. Read More...
