Julie for Model Number JTP15W0D1WW Hello, I believe I found the proper part #'s for the sensor arm and sensor kit for my GE JTP15W0D1WW 30" built in oven. Is there any way to find out if I need the whole sensr kit or if just replacing the arm will do the trick? In my google research (yes, I'm THAT girl lol..) I found the same exact symptoms others were having and believe this is the faulty part. My oven turns on, the broil function even works, but it automatically stops heating after about 20 minutes or so. The part#'s I found are: AP3187983 for the arm and AP2023913 for the kit (pleae let me know if I am incorrect). Any suggestions on figuring out if I need the whole kit or just the arm? Many thanks in advance!! Julie :)
Answer Julie, The correct oven temperature sensor for your unit is WB23T10015. You will want to test the sensor to make sure that this is the issue. Test it at room temperature and it should have a resistance of 1090 ohms. Then test it with the oven set to 350 degrees. For every 1 degree that the temperature rises you would add 2 ohms of resistance in order to determine the correct resistance at 350 degrees. Read More...
