Nj Diyer for Model Number GSD4910Z04AA Dishwasher has an intermittent cycle problem, very annoying. We always run normal cycle, no heated dry. When it works right, it goes through 5 indicator lights in sequence- senses, cleans, rinses, skips drying indicator light since heated dry is off, and goes to clean indicator light and it's done. When not working it hangs up at end of rinse cycle, rinse indicator light flashes and machine starts beeping. Can hit reset button and beeping stops but machine does not run through and finish cycling to get to clean indicator. Have reset breaker and tried doing a reset that way but eventually the machine will have a bad cycle again (usually late at night and someone has to go down and turn off the beeping!). Since dishes are clean after beeping is turned off, we just leave machine alone until next use but then the detergent cup won't stay closed next time we start machine as sequencer never returned to start position. But locking door and hitting reset button before adding detergent resets sequencer and cup will then stay closed. Waiting a few days seems to make reset button do it's job better than when hitting reset button immediately after beeping stops. Maybe that indicates something, an electric charge dissipates or heat that built up is gone and reset button gets back to normal? We can go a few weeks working normally then have a run of days where it keeps hanging up again. I suspect either the control board is bad or the sequencer itself or perhaps there is another sensor involved? There is no water left in machine when beeping starts, machine is cleaning and rinsing normally, just have this erratic beeping and stopping of proper cycle follow through. Any way to isolate which part it could be so I don't spend a lot on wrong part ? Thanks.
Answer NJ Diyer, Based off the description of the issue, With the unit having this intermittent issue it sounds like the sequencer can is periodically sticking and causing the issue. This would need a new sequencer to correct this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 15, 2016
