Tom for Model Number None found I have an old GE custom cooktop that needs a replacement burner. I'd say 6" but it measures 5-1/2". There is no part number on the cooktop unit, but underneath there is an electrical drawing No. 371D442P2. The burners all have 4 leads. I think I see a similar one on your site, but is there a way to confirm? I haven't removed the bad burner, would there be a number on it somewhere if I did? Thanks for any help.
Answer Tom, the "general" terminology for cook top burner elements is 6 inch or 8 inch burner element, Even though it measures 5 1/2 inches, it would be called a 6 inch element, the 8 inch element is the same, it may measure 7 1/2 inches but would be called an 8 inch element. Without a model number, and based on the photo of the part, it will fit and work in your range, and is most likely the "factory direct" replacement part, for an older range/cooktop like yours.
