Frank for Model Number GE stove JB5000W1AD I purchased burner WB30X341 to replace original burner X346(original burner no longer made). 341 is 3-wires, 346 is 4-wires. GE says 341 is the replacement for 346. I wired the 341 as follows: connected the 2 hot wires, one each to the separate coil leads, connected the 2 common wires together, screwed onto the remaining lead (which is jumpered to the remaining coil lead), thus connecting 4 wires onto 3 leads of the burner. It works, heats, through the range of LOW-MED-MEDHI-HI, but is not as hot as expected, and not nearly as hot as the other 8" two-lead burner. Also, inner coils on the 341 seems hotter than the outer coils, but both are hot. Anything risky about my connections/wiring? Any thoughts on lower heating level I have observed? FRANK
Answer Frank, This element WB30X341 will not work properly with this as it is a dual element instead of a 4-6-8 element. According to the information that we get from the manufacturer this part was discontinued with no suitable replacement that would work. Read More...
