Chris for Model Number GE GSHS5KGXGCSS After replacing the water filter, the water continues to dispense after letting the dispenser go. Strong flow at first and then a trickle, eventually stopping. I purged the water lines and then replaced the solenoid valve with no luck. What else could it be?
Answer Hello Chris, If the water pressure to the valve is low or the new valve is defective, there will be residual runtime, (3 seconds after release is the symptom), just as there is when air gets in the system. There is also the possibility of a loose water line or a pin hole in a water line allowing air into the system.
