Bob G for Model Number PSS26SGPASS When I press the water dispenser lever, nothing comes out. I hear a click when I push the dispenser lever in, and a click when I let it out. The ice dispenser works fine. Is the likely problem the dispenser switch?
Answer Bob, I would take the toe plate off, find the water line that runs up through the bottom of the freezer door. Disconnect the water line at the fitting. Close the door and briefly push in the water lever and see if water comes out of the water line at the bottom. If it does, that means the water line in the door is froze up. You can turn the refrigerator off for a few hours to thaw it out. make sure and use the water out of the door on a daily basis to keep it from freezing up again. If no water comes out, you would need to replace the inlet valve. You can check for 120 volts at the water valve solenoid when the water lever is activated, it will be the solenoid with the bigger water line going out of it. Read More...
