Alex for Model Number GSS25QSWA SS Follow up from my question the other day. Ice dispenser works fine, but water doesn’t come out. I checked the lines under the fridge and when disconnected, no water comes out when I push the water lever. I tested the dispenser switch and it works correctly, I also tested the inlet valve and am getting 120V on the water intake solenoid when the lever is pressed, and no voltage when not pressed, so I am to believe that is working fine as well. All the lights work on the dashboard, no flickering anything. I’ve switched filters with no issue, and when I press the little release on the filter mechanism water does shoot out. What potentially could be wrong here and what ways can I test the issue(s) to diagnose properly?
Answer Alex, if you place the water valve over a cup or bowl with the water dispenser solenoid water line disconnected, have the lever pressed and check if water comes out. If water does not come out, then the water valve solenoid [WR57X10032] is bad. If water does come through, then the water filter head [WR17X20860] may be the issue. Read More...
