Joe for Model Number GE Ref. ZISB480DRS I just replace the Solenoid, the door and the spring on the ice dispenser on this Ref. The ice dispenser is working fine except the door remains open. It does not snap back to shut. I have to close it manually. Can you advise what could be the problem ?
Answer Joe, the door chute solenoid would need to be checked to identify if it is sticking in the down position. If it is not, the chute door spring would need to be checked to ensure that it is set properly as the tension from the spring is what allows the door to close properly. Read More...
