Ed M for Model Number GE Refrigerator ZFSB23DRBSS Ice dispenser works fine. When I select water, does not always immediately shut off when we no longer depress the dispense lever. Then, more recently, it leaked through the dispenser when it was not in use. What parts to I need to replace, and will they come with instructions?
Answer Hello Ed, It sounds like the water valve WR57X33326 is allowing water to continue to flow even though the unit is not calling for water. The water valve would need to be replaced. Water valve is located behind the compressor cover in the back of the unit. Turn water off, remove cover and remove valve. Disconnect valve and as you disconnect wires then place them on new valve.
