Paulo B for Model Number GSS22JETA The freezer once in defrost mode takes too long to restart. Most of the frozen items inside thaw out before it re-starts. I replaced the thermostat. Is there anything else I should replace?
Answer Paulo, It is possible that you have a faulty defrost sensor. You can check your defrost sensor for resistance. The resistance values should be 42.2K @ 0 degrees, 14.4K @ 37 degrees and 5K @ 77 degrees. If not within range then the thermistor is faulty and would need to be replaced. If it checks ok then the control board would be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 14, 2013
