Semih for Model Number PSS25NGNA Ww, GE Refrigertor The compressor makes a "knocking" noise after it shuts off. Sometimes the noise is quite loud. Does this mean the compressor is going out? The refrigerator works fine. I opened back cover, blew all the dust, lint off (this did not help). Also checked if the compressor was lose, it was not; did not notice any bumper type of external washers either.
