Louis V. for Model Number PSS24MGNAWW Our GE Model PSS25MGNAWW is freezing food in the refridgerator side, we've removed the back cover & vacuumed & cleaned it out the best we could. I've also turned dial from 5, down to 3, it's still too cold.. Where should I start, with damper door or thermistors? Thanks in advance, Louis V.
Answer Hello Louis. You will need to test the thermisters WR55X10025 and see if they are good. Here is a chart to use when testing. Thermistor Temperature Resistance 77°F..................10,000 ohms 36°F..................29,500 ohms 0°F....................86,300 ohms You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
