Susan for Model Number BSS25JSTASS I have a ge side/side Fridge. Is there a thermistor on the fresh food side? Where can I locate it? I have been able to locate two in the freezer section. I changed the thermostat and the freezer coil does not have the ice build up anymore, but the freezer is still not freezing properly. Neither is the fresh food section cooling like it should. The board tested good. Do I need to change the thremistors and if so, all of them or just those that tests bad? Thanks
Answer Hello Susan . The temperature sensor WR55X10025 for the refrigerator side is located in the top left rear of the cabinet where the damper assembly is. It should read around 10K ohms at room temperature and 29.5K ohms at 36°. If the sensor checks out to be good, you may have a bad HMI assembly WR55X23210. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
