Mark, Yes both the freezer and refrigerator have separate temperature sensors. The freezer actually has 2 in it. The one for the freezer temperature is under a little grill looking piece on the right side wall. There is also one on the evaporator coils that is for the purpose of the defrost control. The one in the refrigerator sections would be located under a cover on the right side wall.
