Susan W for Model Number PSS26MGPACC How long should a mother board last (approximately, like say- not less than or more than)? What can cause them to go out before their time? Are there other parts that will need replacing at the same time as the mother board, which may have been caused to go out by the same thing that caused the mother board to go out?
Answer Susan, Life expectancy on electrical components, especially PCB's(printed circuit board) can't really be determined, there are too many outside influences to consider, proper, constant voltage, polarity, wiring, environment, etc. on occasion a failed component, can and does damage a PCB. On average, and under the proper circumstances, I'd expect a PCB to last at least a year, and as long as 5, under proper conditions. good Luck and Thanks Read More...
