John for Model Number PDS22MFWABB My refrigerator has the freezer on the bottom. The Top half of refrigerator is warm with a temperature of 69°F and the bottom (freezer) has a temperature of 24°F. The top half should be 34°F and the bottom half should be 0°F. How many temperature sensors does this model have and where are they located? Also, is there a video I can watch that shows how to replace them?
Answer Hello John, You should first check for a frost build-up on the back wall of the freezer compartment. This would indicate a defrost issue. There is one temperature sensor located in the fresh food compartment behind the louvered sensor cover. Some are located in a hidden cover at the top of the shelf track. This is normally located about halfway up the fresh food wall. There will be a sensor in the freezer at the top right of the evaporator cover and there is one in the evaporator compartment where the Freon lines come into the back wall. There is a video showing the sensors in a GE unit on the page for WR55X10025. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, May 29, 2018
