Joe for Model Number GE Refrigerator Model TPX24BPDA BB The defrost heater runs for approximately 40-45 minutes, semi melting the ice cubes in the ice box into a solid block, enabling to use the ice maker to extract ice cubes. I replaced the defrost timer and defrost thermostat, but the problem still persists. Any suggestions ???--- I am giving up--- considering calling a repair service. Thank you -Joe
Answer Joe, This issue would normally be caused by a sticking defrost timer since the timer is designed for 30 min run time and it is sticking at the final part of the cycle.
