Joshua for Model Number ZISS420DRCS Hello, my refrigerator recently started super-cooling and freezing everything despite being set on the highest temp. At the same time, my freezer is not staying as cold. I had someone come out and look at it and they are telling me my compressor is bad due to it running so hot. While the compressor may be bad/hot I don't see how that could cause the refrigerator to freeze everything (seems we'd get the opposite). My searches are pointing to a bad damper assembly. What are your thoughts? Temp of compressor is running around 195-205F. Temp between fridge and freezer where the doors meet is hot as well.
Answer Joshua, Check the condenser fan next to compressor to make sure that it is running as this would cause the hot between the doors and the compressor to overheat. For the freezing issue the damper would most likely be the cause for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 7, 2019
