Rod for Model Number PFSS5RKZCSS My freezer and fresh food compartment seems to have proper temps but water in the ice maker won't freeze. Have already replaced the blower fan duct but temps in the ice maker still remain around 30-35 degrees. Do you think it's a faulty temp sensor? If so, where is it located? Thanks!
Answer Rod, it would be recommended that the vents going from the fan to the door vent, as well as the return vent are inspected for any blockages. When the ice maker is on, the fan should turn on and off based on the timing set within the main control. It would also be recommended that the freezer and refrigerator temperatures are verified using a thermometer as either of these being off too much can cause the fan to only operate at 50% of normal.
