Susan Bello for Model Number PFSS5NFXBSS Refrigerator and freezer were getting warm - then they would get cold for a few days and then warm again. We used your site and decided it was in need of an inverter board fix. Replaced it and it performed well - for 2 weeks no problem. This morning the temperature display disappeared and the temp in the refrigerator has slowly been rising. Freezer also - more slowly. If I press the Colder controls on display panel the number will occasionally flash and show 2 freezer and 30 Refrigerator which doesn't really match what the temp feels like. If the compressor is working, it is very quiet. We are puzzled by these symptoms. Any idea what is happening?
Answer Susan, The temp that shows on the display is the set temperature for the unit. As for what is causing the display to not operate and the refrigerator to warm, this would most likely be an issue with the main control board based on the symptoms. Read More...
