Dj for Model Number GSL25JFTABS My GE refrigerator stopped dispensing water but is making and dispensing ice. The water inlet valve solenoid (AP6995571) is working correctly with power and water coming out at the coupler below freezer door when the paddle is pushed. This leads me to a frozen line in the door as the problem? Freezer temperature is -3 degrees in the morning (not opened for 12 hours) with the door Panel display freezer temperature set at level 3. It was changed to level 3 from level 5. This did not raise the freezer temperature. What do you recommend?
Answer DJ, I would defrost the entire unit and leave it unplugged for 24 hours to clear the ice from the door. This may help for a while. The second option is to check the temp sensors in the freezer to see if they are operating correctly and replace them if nessery. I would do the defrost no matter what to give a clean slate.
