Frankie for Model Number GSS25SGPASS The evaporator fan stopped working. I changed the fan and main board. The compressor started together with the two fans, about an hour of running the compressor shuts down. More than five hours later the compressor does not restart only the evaporator fan keeps running. I unplug it for about an hour. Plug it back it still do the same shut down after about an hour and never restart. What could be the problem? I hope you can help me. Thank you.
Answer Hello Frankie. Based on the information you provided, if the fan motor and the main board are good, then the compressor WR87X10226 is bad and will need to be replaced. Test and see if there is power coming to the compressor. If so, and it is just clicking, then you let it sit and it runs, replace the compressor. Hope this helps. Read More...
