Tim for Model Number HSM25GFTASA I have a Hotpoint side-by-side HSM25GFTASA, about 6 years old. Ice in ice bucket has been melting together in one huge block and water from the melted ice is pouring into water dispenser tray. During this time. The freezer is very warm and frozen food has thawed. I have replaced the defrost limiter thermostat. Do I need to replace both thermistors or go straight to the main board?

At 32 dgrs (a few minutes in a glass of ice water)there should be 3.5 to 4.0 ohms resistance. at room temp. the resistance would be 1.2 or less ohms resistance.
