Answer Hello Michael. The sensor WR55X10025 does not open or close due to temperature. It causes the resistance to change and the control board reads the change and sees the temperature in the unit. If the resistance is bad, then the sensor is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
