Cris for Model Number PSS26NGPA BB Dear Sir, A friend has this GE unit. He called me and said both the freezer and fridge stopped cooling. I instructed him to unplug the unit for 5 minutes to reset the main board and to keep an eye on it. He did so and the unit started cooling again. After about one day the unit stopped cooling again. He continued this process and every time the system would reset. After a while the system would stop cooling for about a day and then cool again only to stop again. The digital readout in the fridge shows "tc". Since there is no frost and the evaporator fans are blowing when in cooling cycle, should I consider that this may very well be a problem with the temperature sensor, or because both sides are affected should I be looking to the main control board?
Answer Hello Cris. Based on the information you provided, if all fans are running, you will need to order and replace the main control board on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 28, 2012
