Gary for Model Number GSH25JFta bb My ice maker is working fine but the water dispenser line is freezing up in the door. The temp setting on the freezer is on 2(fridge 5),yet the actual temp is well below zero. What would likely be the cause?
Answer Gary, The most likely cause of failure would be a bad thermistor or control board. You will want to do a resistance check on the thermistors in the freezer to make sure that they are good. The resistance values should be as follows: @ 0°F (-18°C) 42.5k ohms @ 37°F (3°C) 14.0k ohms @ 77°F (25°C) 4.92k ohms If outside this range then the thermistor is faulty and would need to be replaced.
