Hksiu97 for Model Number GSS25JFMBWW GE water tube frozen. Unfortunately, the WR49X10173 is not compatible to GE model GSS25JFMBWW. The 2 side by side doors were replaced by thicker doors by GE in 2007 under a recall. I have replaced all 3 temperature sensors WR55X10025, also the Defroast Thermostat WR50X124 and the Main Control Board WR55X10942 were replaced. It worked great for 6 days then NO water. I turned down the temperature setting from 5 to 3, 3 to 1; then after a while, NO water again. Please advise other optons. Thank you.
Answer HK, The retrofit doors that were replaced, should have solved any frozen water tube issues in the door liner, but you will want to check the door panel, and inner door panel for frost, moisture or condensation along the hinge side of the panels. That would indicate where the water tube is freezing, if it is. The other possible options are : a faulty fill valve or wire harness WR57X33326, WR23X10168 ,you didn't mention any temperature issues but you also need to check the water tank WR17X10734 make sure it's not frozen, due to improper air flow or articles against the walls or hanging over the shelves. If all's Ok, then consider the filter head assembly WR02X45206 The issue could be there, in the internal valve sticking closed and not allowing water to flow. Read More...
