Ray for Model Number DDE7208MDLWH I have a GE Electric dryer. When I set the dial for a particular cycle the dryer will go on when I push the "ON" button. However it does not turn off. It will stay on until I stop it manually. It dosen't matter what cycle it is set on, it never stops on it's own. I thought it might be the timer. I have had the dryer for a number of years. Can you help me?
Answer Hello Ray. If there is power to the timer motor, and the timer does not advance, you will need to replace the timer on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
