Fixithome for Model Number DRSR483ED2WW The automatic functions, "less, more, optimum" on the dryer stopped working. The manual timed functions still work fine. I assumne there is a moisture sensor located somewhere but I can't find it in the exloded parts diagrams. Does anyone have anyideas? Did I just miss it in the parts diagram?
Answer Hi Fixithome. If you open the dryer door and look on the inside of the inner lint tray area. On one side there are 2 curved stainless sensor bars approx. 8". You may need to take a schothbrite pad and scuff it up to get any residue build up off of it. See now if this helps. Make sure your entire vent system is clear and the outside vent cap works properly. Then try the dryer w/ wet clothes. The sensor bar wires may have disconnected. If the timer motor is + or - 10% of 4500 ohms value, replace this w/ part # WE4M255 . Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, February 4, 2012
