Kristen for Model Number GLDP280ED0WS I bought part WE04X20089 to replace the timer on my electric GE dryer. The part number printed on the old timer is the same as the new one. But the new one has only one lead at the C position, while my old one has two brown wires connecting at lead C (one light brown one darker brown). One of the brown wires goes to the start switch. Not entirely sure where the other goes. What do I do with the second wire? Do I have the wrong timer?
Answer Kristen, You will pull off the brown wires and they should be connected together by a special connector in which one has a spade terminal coming off the side of it. This allows 2 wires to attach to one terminal. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, August 4, 2015
