Bruce for Model Number dwsr483eg8ww My timer is very stiff and the dryer is not heating. I have checked all of the thermostats and heating element. All have continuity across them. I have also checked the wall outlet for 240 volts it was also good. I dont know what else to do besides change the timer please help!
Answer Hi Bruce. Have you bypassed the start switch part # WE4M519? Remove the wires and use a jumper wire in each wire terminal to test to see if the unit starts now. Do not let it run too long, it is just a test. The door switch part # WE4M415 can be bypassed the same way with the wire on the common switch terminal to the one that is on the NC terminal.
