Ej for Model Number WM3477HW I need some serious advice. I replaced the motor pump on an LG WM3477HW and the washer/dryer combo actually worked for one cycle. I'm worried I may have forgotten to turn the power completely off on the unit when I worked on it because, besides being dangerous, now after one cycle, it won't even power on. Not sure why it worked only for one cycle and then gave up the ghost. I've tried: 1) Unplugging, pressing power for 5 seconds, start for 5 seconds, and plugging back in. Tried this MANY times and occasionally there was a spark when I plugged it back in. Didn't work. 2) replaced the panel circuitry. Didn't work 3) replaced the lock mechanism. Didn't work About to try: 4) replacing the power cord. Even though I don't think that's the issue. 5) replacing the motor again 6) last hope - replacing recirculation pump motor and then I'm out of ideas. Help!
Answer EJ, If the unit is not powering on at all then try to check to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the main control board and if there is then the main board will most likely be the issue. If the unit is powering on and no power to the pump then the main control would also most likely be the cause with a new pump in place. Read More...
