Orlando for Model Number 72189950590 Where does the damper go in the unit. Is it at the bottom? How do I assemble it? What is the damper for? Do the filters come in a pair? Are they equal or are they different? How do I place them?
Answer Hello Orlando, The damper 4900W1A001B goes in the adaptor that mounts on the outside of the unit at the vent outlet. It is only needed if the unit is vented to the outside of the home. There are two screws already in place that have to be removed to install it. The damper prevents a great majority of outside air from blowing back into the home through the vent. The filters are sold separately so if you need both, you will need to order two. They simply slip into the slots and part way back so they hook on the ledge on the other side. You will want to make sure the loop is down so it will be easier to remove for cleaning. These can be run through the dishwasher if needed. If your unit has a charcoal filter, it cannot be run through the dishwasher. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 18, 2014
