Jane for Model Number LFXS24663S/01 Hi, My mom's refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing. My brother thinks it's the compressor but looking at your site it looks like other customers fixed their cooling issue by replacing the Overload Compressor or Compressor Overload Protector Assembly. For LFXS24663S/01 what part should we use? Thanks
Answer Jane, the unit can be placed into a test mode by accessing the main control EBR81182782 in the back and pressing a black button once. This button is located near the center of the control and will force activate the compressor if the control can. If the compressor does turn on, the overload and compressor should be good and the thermistors would need to be tested. However, if the compressor does not come on, the overload protector 6750CL0001D can be tested for continuity after unplugging the power cord, and it should have continuity at room temperature. If it does not, it would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 19, 2023
