Dennis for Model Number LRE3023SW The oven doesn't hold the temperature at the temperature it was set at. It preheats fine. When it gets to the set temp., the element cycles off and on, on for 15-20 sec. off for 40-45 sec.. This cycling does not keep the temperature at the preset temp. while baking. In 15 min. it will lose 20-30 degrees from a 350 degree setting. The oven heat sensor ohmed out correct. Is it one of the PCBs that's causing this? Any guess as to which one?
Answer Dennis, the main control EBR73710102 would be the most likely culprit. This can be tested by testing the temp sensor EBG61305805 for a resistance of 1.09K Ohms at room temperature +/- 10%. If the sensor checks good, then with all the wires installed, press the clear button, then press bake and broil at the same time. The display should change to check oven sensor, press bake and broil at the same time again, the display will change again. Once the display changes, press the number 3 and this will display the current temperature that the control is sensing. If the temperature does not match the room temp (+/- 5°), then the main control has failed. If it does match, then the temp sensor is not operating properly as it heats up. Read More...
