Don for Model Number dle2301w Nothing happens when you press the power button, light come on when you open the door. Have checked the power source everything is ok there. Looking at the control board the resitor near the connector coming from the power switch has some black liquid coming out of the end it is also under the clear coating
Answer Don, You're needing a new control board, but you probably realized that. Any damaged to a control board or any component on the board will require a replacement. The oozing liquid, would indicate the voltage capacitor has failed, and that's usually due to some type of voltage "spike", or ongoing electrical power supply issue.
