Justin Kunak for Model Number LRE30453ST/01

I have a electric LG range. The model is LRE30453ST/01.I am having trouble with the oven not heating completely up to setpoint on the baking setting.I set the oven on bake to preheat 350 degrees on the touch pad on oven and it only gets up to 325 degrees reading on the touch pad.I did notice the broil element at top heating up then towards end it went off.The oven never beeps cause it never reaches preheat setpoint.I had a temperature sensor measuring the temperature in oven and with it sety on 350 degrees preheat and it only getting up to 325 degrees the actual temperature in the oven got as high as 235 degrees then just slowly dropped down and before i turned off oven and pulled my sensor out it dropped down to 215 degrees. So it is not even coming close to setpoint. When i opened the oven to take out my sensor it was warm it is so the range was heating just not enough to get to setpoint.Would your have any ideas on what my problem might be.I did research on your site and on a regular basis for what my problem is,it says possibly either the mother board or thermistor sensor in oven.I am just wanting to see what your think and if it could possibly be something else. Thanks so very much for your time.

Answer

Justin K, Based on the issue listed I would first check with a multimeter both the bake and broil elements, if they are good then check the oven sensor/probe for proper resistance, and if the elements and the probe are good then the issue would be the control board. If any of the components don't check good then replace it.
