Dan M Olive Branch , MS May 19, 2014 Appliance: Model LRE30453B The mother board had failed We called Chris Appliances to come out to fix our LG Oven , they said it was the mother board that was causing the top oven burner to burn the food. They told us that it would approximately $500.00 to fix it. We told them to go ahead and order the part. They told us it was on back order with LG . Two weeks went by and they said it was still on back order, time is running short for us, so I surf the web found Appliance Parts Pros.com called them, then called Chris Appliances to get the part # for the mother board which they gave it to us, type the part # into the web site and guest what Appliance Parts Pros had the part in stock, order it, it was here in days. Called Chris Appliances to tell them when it would arrive, they called back said it would be $70.00 to install it, I never called them back. so Friday night I pulled off the back of the oven and studied the mother board and took pictures, then proceeded to replace it, which I did with very little problem. ( all the plugs had different sizes and shapes to them. Once replaced, I plugged it in and I had ( PF ) = Power Failure on all the burners and display, found that had not properly plugged the two strips ( thin and circuits in them ) correctly ( you put strips in first then push the lock in to secure it ) plugged the power cord in PF cam up again was able to clear out right away. The oven is working just fine, The wife is happy and I scored big points.
