Answer Hello Gary, You should use a dry paper towel to clean the shafts and install the rollers dry. They are impregnated with a dry lubricant so when they wear, they self-lubricate. Never use a wet lubricant on the rollers since lint will stick to it and be pulled into the bushing and they will fail prematurely. If you must use something, use cornstarch or baby powder and do not use too much. Rotate them before reassembly since they can bind with too much. Read More...
