Matthew G for Model Number DLEX5680W I have the LG dryer DLEX5680W and recently the sensor dry settings auto-timer shortens the "time to dry" drastically to the point of not fully drying the clothes. I've ran the tests suggested and ran the smartphone diagnostic tool and no issues were detected. I ensured the vents were properly functioning as well and vacuumed out all that I could. My hunch is this may be a moisture sensor bar issue from what I've read online but I don't see any other comments/questions that have the same issue I'm facing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Answer Matthew, The moisture sensor bars would possibly be the issue. If you use fabric sheets in the dryer you will want to try to clean the sensor bars with rubbing alcohol and see if that does not correct the issue. If this does not correct then check the wiring that goes between the sensor bars and the control board as the wiring may be faulty. Read More...
